The room and location is good, clean but the lady receptionist never even say hello or hi no smile nothing so dry. The room is ok clean if i choose again where to stay definitely not here.

I had a change in circumstances where I couldn’t fulfill my booking. I cancelled the booking 8.5 months before the date, then they took $386 from my account all this time later with no room for negotiation The no refund free cancellation is a have,the receptionist was bitter I’m dissatisfied and disgusted Zero empathy here they just want your money Theivery They will never see another dollar from me again This should be illegal!!! Very unhappy with a drained bank account for the week whilst someone else is likely paying and staying in a room that is already paid for

Really disappointed that a refund was declined. Severe weather in Auckland shutting airport and forcing events to be cancelled, yet this hotel put greed and profit before empathy and people. Despite many attempts from travel agent and ourselves they would not offer any compensation at all. $346.00 out of pocket. It is not as though under these weather conditions this room would have been be rebooked. Hope your trip or event runs to schedule and you don’t have circumstances out of your control and need to request a refund……

Motel 540 on great south road is the best kept accommodation secret in Auckland. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and very clean. The rates are extremely competitive. The location is excellent. Across the road is an Indian restaurant with wonderful food, competitive pricing and engaging staff. We went there twice and will back. It was walking distance to the ethnic village of Otahuhu which we just loved the friendliness of. Finally the staff of 540 are just wonderful. We will be to Auckland again soon and because it was so close to the airport we won't stay anywhere else
